Curriculum Summaries

General Studies Program (B.S. in Bible)

The General Studies program is designed for students who do not seek a particular PBU professional major, but who recognize the need for a broad educational exposure as they pursue higher education and the development of a biblical worldview. With its large number of electives beyond the core requirements in Bible and Arts & Sciences courses, this program enables students, with the guidance of their academic advisor, to construct a course of study suitable to their needs and interests. Upon successful completion of the program, the student earns a B.S. in Bible degree.

Bible and Theology: 36 credits
Arts & Sciences: 43 credits
Integration: 3 credits
Professional: 6 credits
Electives: 39 credits
Total: 127 credits

Liberal Arts Program (B.S. in Bible)

The Liberal Arts program is designed for students whose educational and career goals include graduate study and who do not find the PBU professional majors applicable to their needs. Working closely with an academic advisor, students construct a course of study suitable for their educational and career goals while developing a strong biblical worldview. The large number of electives in the Arts & Sciences beyond core requirements in Arts & Sciences and Bible provide a liberal arts education with a sound biblical foundation. Upon successful completion of the program, the student earns a B.S. in Bible degree with a concentration in the liberal arts.

Bible and Theology: 36 credits
Arts & Sciences: 70 credits
Integration: 3 credits
Professional: 6 credits
Electives: 12 credits
Total: 127 credits
