Q Is
it necessary to receive specialized training in Camping
Ministry?
|
A - Camping Ministry is a
very specialized area of ministry. Although some camping
professionals have
embarked on
a career in camping with no formal education, many
of them would be the first to tell you that education
can
help a person to better prepare for the many demands
that a Camp Director faces everyday. Your education
will often help to open doors for you as you seek a
ministry
position.

Q Am I required to attend
WWC for the first year?
|
A No. WWC is an optional
program. Many of our students choose to go to WWC for
their first year of college.
It is an excellent first year of college because of
the small class sizes, the close relationships that
are formed,
and because of the many exciting activities that take
place during the academic year. If you plan to attend
WWC, you will need to apply early. WWC has a limited
enrollment and it often fills up very quickly.
|
Q Am I required to attend Camp Forest Springs in
the last year?
|
A Yes. Camp Forest Springs
is our camping training ground. It is a real camp with
real programs and excellent
instructors.
Every camping student is required to go to Camp Forest
Springs for their senior year.
|
Q If I am accepted to PBU,
am I automatically qualified to attend Camp Forest
Springs?
|
A No. You will be interviewed by personnel at PBU
and Camp Forest Springs. A decision will be made by
the second
semester of your sophomore year regarding your acceptance
into the Camping Program. Students who show interest
in camping and demonstrate sufficient academic ability
and leadership potential are admitted into the program.
|
Q How can I Apply?
