ACSI
Preschool-Kindergarten Certification -
Students who complete the Children's Ministry Program and
the three optional classes will be eligible to apply for
ACSI Preschool-Kindergarten Certification. This certification
is internationally recognized and allows the holder to
direct a private preschool or daycare program. This certification
is also recognized by many church ministries as a valuable
credential.
Practical
Experience -
Every student is required to take part in a Student
Ministry during their time at PBU. Children's Ministries students
can participate in a local children's ministry where he
or she can be mentored by a Children's Ministry Professional.
Several area
churches cooperate with PBU and enthusiastically
encourage our students to participate in their ministry.
This practical experience is very valuable in the learning
process.
Children's
Ministry Instruction -
PBU Children's Ministry students receive specialized training
in child development, early learning, programming, supervision
and management, recruiting and training workers, building
a strong philosophy of ministry, and more! The instruction
is biblical and practical. Many students think that their
Children's Ministry classes are the best part of their
program of study.
Bible
Knowledge -
PBU offers one of the finest undergraduate Bible programs
in the world. It is led by a world class faculty who genuinely
care about their students. Students will have an opportunity
to study every book of the Bible, every Bible doctrine,
and all of Church History. The classes are challenging
and help students to build a biblical worldview.
Well-rounded
Education -
PBU students benefit from 48 credits of Arts & Sciences.
These classes are designed to help students to speak well,
write well, develop a broad base of knowledge in history,
the arts, literature, science, foreign language, cultural
diversity, values, and more. Students are more aware of
the world and culture so that they are better equipped
to understand and reach others with the gospel of Christ.
Jam! -
Students have the option of participating in this exciting
outreach that takes place each year at PBU. Jam stands
for Junior High Adventures in Ministry. Junior high and
middle school students come and stay for a weekend at
PBU. They receive training and then put on a huge outreach
for inner city children. Children's Ministry Students
can help to train the teenagers and also implement the
children's program.
