Equipping Leaders for Children's Ministry

Children's MinistryServing as a Children’s Ministry Professional can be an exciting and fulfilling vocation. There is a great need in our world for leaders who are equipped to reach children with the good news of Jesus Christ, to help them to grow, and to equip them for a lifetime of ministry. Those who serve God’s church through Children’s Ministry have a unique privilege and challenge. It is our intention to give leaders in Children’s Ministry the very best training possible so that they will be prepared to reach God's precious ones.

The purpose of the Children’s Ministry Program at PBU is to equip leaders in Children’s Ministry. Today’s leaders in Children’s Ministry need to be prepared not only to lead an effective teaching ministry to children, but they also need to be able to lead and manage multiple concurrent programs, recruit and train teachers, minister to parents, function as part of a staff team, as well as a number of other tasks. With all of these demands, it makes sense that a program that will effectively equip leaders in Children’s Ministry will need to help students to develop an Children's Ministryunderstanding of Children’s Ministry, build a foundational knowledge of the Bible, and acquire a broad base of knowledge for life and service. The Children's Ministry Program features practical classroom learning from experts in the field. Each student has the opportunity to learn by doing by participating in a Children's Ministry in the area.

Upon completion of the program, the student receives a B.S. in Bible degree and a certification in Children's Ministry.
