
Special Education N-12 certification is now available through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
The program may be taken as a part of the M.S. in Education degree program or as a certification-only program. This certificate is a stand-alone and may be added to a current certificate or may be obtained without a current certificate if all requirements are met.
The Special Education N-12 Certification Program may be completed in one year!

What are the requirements for the certification program?
The N-12 as a stand-alone certification program (no previous teacher certification) must be completed by December of 2012. Beginning June 2013 all Special Education teachers must also hold a teaching certificate in regular education. This N-12 program will be adapted to K-8 and/or 7-12 Special Education to serve as a dual certificate after December 2012.

Path for Graduates from Colleges or Universities other than PBU who do not hold a Current Teaching Certification
- Present undergraduate transcript. Each transcript will be evaluated individually to determine whether or not General Education course requirements have been satisfied.
- Previous course work or experience will be evaluated for possible advance standing in the 30-credit Special Education N-12 certification program.
