All applicants for entrance into the School of Music and Performing Arts must pass an audition in their applied performance area. First semester music students enroll in one of the music programs. A student may enter the Performance Program
only after passing a second performance audition at the end
of the third semester.
Scholarships ranging from $600 to $3,000 per year will
be awarded to music students who successfully pass their
audition and exhibit outstanding performance ability and
potential. The scholarship award will be applied annually toward PBU
tuition for full-time study up to five years. To qualify, applicants must meet PBU's
entrance requirements and audition before May 1. If scholarship
funds remain after May 1, additional scholarships may be
awarded.
One- and two-day audition visits have been specifically designed
for the prospective music student.
During the ONE-DAY audition visit, you will be able to:
- meet with a financial aid counselor
- take a campus tour
- have lunch with the music faculty

If the applicant is unable to attend one of the audition days listed above, individual arrangements may be made through the Music Office.
