Some History About PBU and International Admissions.
. .
In 1952 the U. S. Immigration
and Naturalization Service (INS) first approved the
Philadelphia Bible Institute to admit F-1 international
students for studies in the United States. In 1958,
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania granted the Institute
approval to offer a four-year program leading to the
bachelor of science in Bible degree and the Institute
then changed its name to Philadelphia College of Bible.
It was under this name that our institution admitted
international students for over 40 years. The Wisconsin
Wilderness Campus was also approved by INS to admit
F-1 international students on May 20, 1994. Now, having
received approval from the State of Pennsylvania to
function as a university, we at Philadelphia Biblical
University are looking optimistically to the futureto
meet the needs of both our international applicants
and current international students.
