On-Campus Support
for MK's / TCK's and International Students
As an MK/TCK or international student, you will likely
have concerns about the transition to U.S. life and
culture, university studies, and integration into
a new university environment. Your needs are important,
and we are here to help in the transition. B.A.S.I.C.
("Brothers And Sisters In Christ"), our
student-run MK / international student organization,
is active in bringing together students with international
backgrounds. Activities offered by B.A.S.I.C. include
bi-weekly fellowship meetings, international dinners,
special relaxation trips, and a worship chapel service.
Your support group at PBU includes fellow MK's / TCK's,
international students, caring professors and staff,
the university Student Development Department and
the PBU International Office. The size of PBU also
makes personal and meaningful interaction with your
peers and professors possible.
PBU Missions Focus
PBU is all about missions and the Great Commission.
We are here to equip leaders to serve in sharing the
Gospel and love of Christ to the world, both in word
and in professional expertise. We put our commitment
into practice by holding a yearly week-long missions
conference, by making ongoing participation in local
ministries a graduation requirement, and by fostering
student-led missions interests through the Student
Missionary Fellowship. The undergraduate student body,
with faculty and staff attendees, also meets three
times weekly for chapel services, as we seek to maintain
our focus on Jesus Christ in our lives.
