Tori Winn Job Title: Undergraduate Enrollment Counselor

Home Town: Broken Bow, NE

At PBU Since: 2006

Degree: B.S. in Bible with an emphasis in Church Ministries Interdisciplinary

What I love about PBU: There is so much to love about this school. There is such a friendly, Christian atmosphere filled with students, faculty and staff that love the Lord and love each other. I loved being in my Bible classes and growing in my knowledge of Jesus Christ, His Word, and my responsibility as a child of His.

Hobbies: I love doing anything involving the outdoors, and I also like to spend time with friends, although I enjoy some personal time often. Cooking is a specialty of mine and it’s fun to be creative with that. I definitely love coffee and ice cream :) It’s a good combo!

On the weekend, I might be... .crashing on my bed for some much needed sleep, catching up on a good book, watching a movie, or hanging out with friends. Oh–I’m probably doin’ some mad cooking :)

I love my job because... have the wonderful opportunity to interact with students hungry to study God’s Word. Since PBU shaped so much of who I am today, I love sharing with others the impact it’s had on my life and encourage students to consider this university as the place for them to receive an excellent education, make solid friendships for life, and most importantly, to allow God to work on their hearts, molding them into a man or woman of God with a passion to live for Christ.

My advice to a prospective student: Search your heart and listen to the direction the Lord is leading you in your life. God knows us so much more than we know ourselves and if we truly are willing to go anywhere and do anything the Lord wills for our life, God will do incredible things through us. Why need to worry about tomorrow? We serve an Awesome God!

Most important thing I learned in college: God has really taught me so much who I am and Whose I am–a child of God. College as shown me how utterly important it is for Christians to truly Know the Word and be in the Word daily. Bible knowledge is the most solid foundation one can have. Christ is our foundation, our light, and our hope.
