Admissions Standards
In choosing candidates for admission, the Wisconsin
Wilderness Campus of Philadelphia Biblical University
looks at applicants' Christian experience, academic
performance, and personal character, along with their
desire to pursue a unique, one-year accredited Bible
program.
Because of the mission of the program, WWC enrolls
35-38 students per year. As such, WWC seeks to carefully
select well-balanced students who are deeply committed
to their Christian faith, desiring to grow and excel
in all areas of life. These qualities are evaluated
by considering each applicant's academic record and
personal references. When making admission decisions,
WWC evaluates the applicant's previous educational experience,
high school and/or college grades, and standardized
test scores (SAT or ACT) along with a pastoral reference
and a high school reference.
Please visit the main (Langhorne, PA) campus admissions
page to learn more about the specifics of admissions
standards.

campus before the Admissions Committee can review the
student's application for WWC:

along with $25 application fee (non-refundable).
- High
school transcript, including all course work and
GPA through the end of the junior year. Final transcript
must be sent prior to enrollment. (Minimum GPA 2.0)

Admissions
Decisions
Full-time faculty and staff members at the Wisconsin Campus work in
conjunction with the Admissions Department at the main campus to make
admission decisions for WWC. There is no deadline for reviewing
applications at this time. WWC has implemented a Rolling Admissions
procedure for reviewing all applications. When a student has his/her
application and secondary paperwork completed and sent to the main campus,
the applicant will be notified of his/her status shortly thereafter.
During the application review times, the admissions
committee will make one of the following decisions in
regard to the applicant:
- Accept the applicant for WWC.
- Reject the applicant for WWC (Sometimes students
rejected to WWC may still qualify for acceptance at
the main campus in Langhorne, PA).
- Place the applicant on "review" until
the next deadline. This this takes place if WWC would
like to find out more about the applicant before making
a decision. An additional essay or interview may be
requested at this juncture.

Reserving YourPlace in
the Program
It is important to keep in mind that an acceptance
does not guarantee a student a place in the program.
Accepted students are encouraged to send in a Notification
of Intent (NOI) along with a $200 reservation deposit
to reserve a place for themselves. Unless an accepted
student signs the Notification of Intent and put down
a $200 deposit, he/she does not have a reserved place
at WWC. Because NOIs for WWC are taken on a first come,
first served basis, all accepted students are encouraged
to send in their NOI and deposit soon after they are
accepted. Reservation deposits are refundable until
May 1st should a student decide not to attend.
Provisional
Acceptances and Waiting Pools
Because WWC is a limited enrollment program, spaces
fill up quickly. When there are no longer spaces available,
qualified students who meet the criteria for acceptance
are then "provisionally accepted" into the
program. A provisional acceptance means that the student
accepted is placed in a waiting pool, and may at a future
time be accepted provided a spot opens up. If an opening
becomes available for that student he/she is contacted
by phone. |
