Head Coach: Grace Hart
In fall of 2007, Grace Hart becomes the thirteenth head coach in program history, replacing Paula Beach, who stepped down in April after seven seasons at the helm of the program. Beach served a total of 10 years as she also was the head coach from 1976-78.
Hart is a graduate of PBU, earning her Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Science in Bible in 2004. She was a three year field hockey player for the Crimson Eagles after transferring from Houghton College after her freshman year. She registered 10 goals and 12 assists as a defensive stalwart for the team during her PBU career and served two seasons as team captain. She also worked as a Resident Assistant for two years and was a catcher and captain on the softball team for two seasons.
"As a former player at PBU I know how important athletics is in the whole scope of the college experience and how much I learned about myself through the ups and downs of a season," said Hart. "I look forward to working hard to continue the success the program has had throughout the years."
Hart has been coaching the last three years at Mount Calvary Christian School in Lancaster, PA and most recently served as Director of Special Events for Global Awakening in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
"While at PBU as a student-athlete, Grace was a hard worker, committed player, and a team leader," said Athletic Director Drew Watson. "I know that same work ethic and leadership ability will serve her well as she returns to PBU as a coach."
