Coach Kenneth Wilson is new to coaching the men, and he is so enthusiastic for the total tennis program here because PBU is a great place to be, working with these athletes.  The men’s tennis team has some of the best young people from around the country. To have them on the courts is great!

The men’s tennis team has great support from the athletic department and even had the President of the school out shagging balls for them briefly on one of their practice days.  That is support!

Coach Wilson believes our men, like the women’s team will get to the NEAC playoffs this year.  Wilson’s goal over time is to obtain the title of NEAC Champions one day for both teams.

This year the tennis team has great ingredients.  Three men from last season have returned to play. This gives the team leadership that is needed.  Two students have left the recreation courts to play with the PBU team, which testifies to the tenacity in seeking to raise the level of play and in perfecting skills on the field of competition.  There is “new blood” on the team as they have two freshmen joining. That will give the team depth they will need over the coming seasons.
