The men’s tennis season was not a great one in regard to matches won and team placement in the NEAC. There was just too little time to build the physical and mental skill levels from where the team had to begin. There was no lack of team spirit and individual drive from this PBU team. There were some good life lessons and individual successes for our players this season that they will hopefully carry into life off the court.
The two graduating seniors and the one transferring team member no doubt will go on to play the game in other venues having a different and mature approach to the game and their play. The young men remaining and expected to return for next season will take the court with the kind of experience, understanding, and drive that will be needed for successes in our newly-organized conference. Our goal is to make the playoffs again next year, but it will only come through hard work and consistency from our players. With the consistency of our returning players and those we hope to recruit, PBU will have a good foundation from which to build upon for any future successes in our conference.
The coaching staff is excited for the potential of the PBU Tennis Program!
