PBU changed its mascot from "Crusaders" to "Crimson Eagles" in the fall of 1982. There are multiple characteristics portrayed through the eagle such as power, speed and agility. In addition, the eagle is also known for its intelligence, coordination and integrity.
The school colors are red (crimson), white and black. Thus the eagle mascot is combined with crimson for "Crimson Eagles".
The athletic teams of PBU desire to model the characteristics of the eagle throughout all of their actions both on and off the field.
