Head Coach: Drew Watson
Coach Drew Watson enters his ninth year as the head women's basketball coach at Coach Drew Watson enters his ninth year as the head women's basketball coach at Philadelphia Biblical University. He begins the 2007-08 season with a career record of 137-92.
Under Watson’s direction the Crimson Eagles have participated in the NCCAA II National Tournament five times, including an appearance in the National Championship game in ‘02 and fourth place finishes in both ‘06 and ‘07. Watson was named the North Atlantic Christian Conference and NCCAA East Region Coach of the Year in ‘01, ‘02, and ‘04 and was named NCCAA II East Region Co-Coach of the Year in ‘06. Additionally, Coach Watson was credited as the NCCAA National Coach of the Year for the ’06-07’ season.
Watson served as an assistant coach for the Crimson Eagle men's program for six years before moving over to the women's program. He graduated from PBU in 1995, playing both basketball and baseball for the Crimson Eagles during his tenure as a student.
Along with his coaching duties, Watson serves as the Athletic Director at PBU. He resides in Yardley, Pennsylvania with his wife Jenn.
Assistant Coach: Grace Hart
Coach Hart begins her first year as an assistant for the women’s basketball team.
A 2004 graduate of PBU, Hart was a three year field hockey player for the Crimson Eagles after transferring from Houghton College following her freshman year. She registered 10 goals and 12 assists as a defensive stalwart for the team during her PBU career and served two seasons as team captain. She also worked as a Resident Assistant for two years and was a catcher and captain on the softball team, all while earning her Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Science in Bible.
Coach Hart recently completed her first season as the head coach of PBU’s field hockey team this past fall. Before coming to the University, Hart’s previous coaching experience included three years at Mount Calvary Christian School in Lancaster, PA. |
