2007 Women's Tennis

Women's TennisA relatively young and inexperienced tennis team will take the court this fall as the Crimson Eagles return only two players from last season’s team. Senior Melissa Chiasson and junior Cassandra Hartwell will look to provide leadership as the only players with collegiate experience at PBU.

The team will also rely on new additions Katie Aungst and Alicia Kline to help anchor the Crimson Eagles at the top positions during match play. The rest of the roster will include many incoming players that will be experiencing their first taste of competitive tennis.

However, although the team is reasonably young and untested, head coach Ken Wilson remains optimistic about his core group of athletes.

“Our women’s tennis team has many new faces but so far this year the enthusiasm has remained the same,” said Coach Wilson in regards to his team’s preseason workouts. “I am excited to be able to help each of our players reach their full potential. We have already showed signs of significant improvement early on.”

The Crimson Eagles will have more opportunities to compete this year as the team will be playing in a total of 15 matches, a drastic increase from last year. PBU will look to build and improve on last season’s 2-5 record.
