Church Music Celebration
Saturday, February 27, 2010
WEATHER UPDATE - The Church Music Celebration will be held as scheduled today, February 27.
The Philadelphia Biblical University School of Music and Performing Arts presents a day for the church musician — choir mmbers, choir directors, ministers of music, soloists, worship teams, children’s choir leaders, accompanists, and handbell ringers, plus a special track for Pastors.
Features of the Day
Keynote Address: Dr. Bill Brandenstein will deliver the keynote address: "The Reason We Sing: Reclaiming the Biblical Purpose for Music."
Seven Interest-Specific tracks presented by PBU faculty and guest clinicians:
Participants may select one track OR “mix and match” the workshops.
Music Reading Sessions: Receive packets of free choral music in four specialized reading sessions. Dynamic, expressive, well-crafted, and theologically-sound anthems from many publishers will be presented.
Publishers’ Displays: Young's Music returns with a wide selection of choral, vocal and instrumental music for your perusal and purchase. Orders will be taken for any of the music used in the reading sessions.
