The first Saturday session includes an interactive workshop focused on the four topic areas: resumes, interviews, dress, and etiquette. Participants will learn how to prepare a resume, keys to a successful job interview, the difference between business professional and business casual dress, and how to develop professional etiquette. These topics will be taught by local business professionals. Participants are then given a two-week time span to review the information they have gained in order to prepare for the upcoming mock interviews.
Saturday March 6th
In the second session, participants are scheduled for 3-5 mock job interviews with professionals from the area. All participants will have the opportunity to go through a real-life interviewing session and then receive feedback from industry professionals. Once the interviews have been completed, there will be a brief informational session. Following the session, participants will attend a luncheon where they can practice dining etiquette and network with professionals and fellow RIDE graduates.
All of this is provided to the participants for a nominal fee of $15 (pre-registered; $20 at the door. Registration and payment is due by Friday, February 12th to take advantage of the early registration discount.)
