Presidential Inauguration

Todd Williams

Dr. Todd J. Williams was formally installed as PBU’s 5th President on Thursday, February 7, 1:30 p.m., during an Inaugural Convocation in the University’s Mason Activity Center.

Approximately 1,000 PBU faculty, staff, students, Board members, alumni, special guests, and delegates from other academic institutions attended the program, which featured a traditional academic processional, music, scripture readings, remarks by faculty and students, a prayer of consecration, and inaugural address. The Presidential Charge was given by PBU alumnus, Dr. Allen Guelzo ’75, who is the Henry R. Luce Professor of the Civil War Era, and Professor of History, at Gettysburg College, Pennsylvania.

The ceremony was the highlight of a week of activities which included concerts, special Chapel programs, and an academic roundtable. A University-wide prayer Chapel on Friday was the capstone for all of the events.
