Graduate Counseling
Faculty Member
The Graduate Program in Christian Counseling is accepting applications for a faculty position to be filled July 1, 2010. Candidates should be prepared to teach in the Graduate Counseling Program, develop a program to provide counseling services to the community, and may interface in a supervisory capacity with the University's student counseling center.
In this position, the faculty member will be required to fulfill all regular duties of a university teacher including teaching a full-time load including Fall, Spring, and Summer semester courses, and other administrative, advisory and committee-related duties. The faculty member would also be required to abide by the standards of conduct and professional guidelines of the University and be in agreement with the University's Statement of Faith.
The successful candidate must possess a PhD in Counseling / Clinical Psychology, Pennsylvania LPC or licensed psychology, clinical experience and management ability or experience in developing or leading a counseling center. College or university teaching experience is also required; some teaching experience at the graduate level is preferred. Candidates for the position must show evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ and a clear Christian lifestyle, be in agreement with the University's statement of faith and standards of conduct, be committed to a biblical university philosophy of Christian and higher education, and understand and support the University's Mission Statement. The successful candidate must be familiar with and in essential agreement with the counseling philosophy and the theoretical model espoused by the Counseling Graduate program at PBU.

Office of Safety and Security
Security Shift Supervisor
The Office of Safety and Security is seeking candidates to fill a full-time staff position of Supervisor to work a schedule of evening shift and/or overnight shifts, (4:00 p.m. to midnight and from midnight to 8:00 a.m. respectively) and weekends (total 40 hours per week).
The position reports to the Director of Safety and Security and oversees campus security matters on assigned shift, including supervision of part-time officers and shuttle drivers. The Supervisor implements established procedures related to University rules and regulations, surveillance systems, welfare of students and property, motor vehicle issues, general safety and special events. The Supervisor also assists the Director in development and execution of safety and security policies and procedures.
The position requires an associate's degree or equivalent plus one to three years or experience in a security-related field. Position also requires a valid driver's license and clean driving record. EMT and previous supervisory experience is preferred. Traditional undergraduate students are not eligible for consideration, however, students in the graduate or advance programs may apply.

School of Arts and Sciences
Faculty Member

Faculty Member, Bible and Ministry
The School of Bible and Ministry is seeking a faculty member able to teach applied theology courses in both the undergraduate B. S. in Bible and graduate M. S. B. and M. Div. programs. In this position, the faculty member would be required to fulfill all regular duties of a university teacher including teaching a full-time load of Fall, Spring, and Summer semester courses, and fulfill other administrative, advisory, and committee-related duties. The faculty member would also be required to abide by lifestyle and professional guidelines of the University and be in agreement with the University's Statement of Faith.
The successful candidate must possess a Doctorate (ThD, PhD or EdD) in Bible Exposition, Theology, New Testament Studies, Semitic Studies, Christian Education or a related field in Biblical Studies. Pastoral experience is required and some college or university teaching experience is preferred. Pending final budgetary approval, the position is available beginning July 1, 2010.

Social Work
Faculty Member
The Department of Social Work is accepting applications for a faculty position, to be filled July 1, 2010. Candidates should be prepared to teach a full-time load. The primary areas of teaching responsibility may include social welfare policy, social work practice from a generalist perspective, social work research, statistics, and social science courses. Other responsibilities include student advising; faculty and committee participation; and professional involvement through writing, consulting, and serving within the social work/faith community. This individual must be a competent teacher, knowledgeable in the field, and able to make a contribution to the community as a resource person for social work.
Applicants with a doctorate in social work or a related field are preferred. A minimum of a master's degree (M.S.W.) and at least two years of post master's, agency-based experience in social work practice are required. Teaching experience is strongly preferred.
