The University Ministry Center is the home to many of the intentional spiritual formation activities of the University. The University Ministry Center integrates a variety of distinct avenues of spiritual growth for the student body as we seek to allow ministry to parallel your academic education. These avenues of spiritual formation include the oversight and programming of Chapel, Student Ministries, Student Chaplains, Short-Term Missions Trips, Volunteer ministry opportunities and the Philly Cares Urban Emphasis project. All of these avenues of spiritual formation are under the leadership and direction of the University Chaplain. You will find the Center next to the Office of Student Life on the first floor of the Smith building. The staff of the University Ministry Center is anxious to assist you!
Spiritual formation is not achieved in a day, but daily. As God transforms your heart and your mind, spiritual maturation comes in part, from the intentional spiritual formation that marks your life! We want each PBU student to have…
A mind that HUNGERS for God, His Word and the people we minister to! It is not enough to have the will to do good...We must seek it out in our own lives first!
- A heart that INSPIRES others to the Cross! Ministry and your spiritual journey serve together as we inspire others to live as Christ!
- A life that SERVES! It is the core of who we are!
Spiritual maturation is not a by-product of being given a diploma. The entire experience at PBU is designed to be integral to the spiritual formation of the student. During your time of study at PBU our desire is that you experience spiritual maturation that is a result of a well-rounded and purposeful approach. You will find the opportunity every semester to be actively involved in building your relationship with God. Chapels are designed to worship the Lord and challenge all of us. You will be given the opportunity each semester to minister within the PBU community and in the greater communities surrounding the University. You and your fellow students will lead devotional and discipleship groups on campus. Every day that you are a part of the community of learners at PBU we want you to be better prepared in the development of a biblical worldview which will steer you as you prepare to serve Christ.
Blessings…
