The Resident Life Team at Philadelphia Biblical University seeks to provide, within each residential facility, a living and learning environment wherein residents feel safe to mature spiritually, academically, culturally, and personally.
Resident Life is a dynamic part of the PBU experience. The knowledge that is gained in the classroom is only part of the overall education and personal development of each student. Residence halls provide a learning laboratory where that which is learned academically and understood biblically can be applied practically.
Living on Campus
Being a part of the residential campus community offers a tremendous advantage to your experience as a PBU student. On campus residence allows a student to be near to the heart of activity, including social events and athletic endeavors, classes and the resources of the University, and more. Proximity, however, is not the only benefit of being a resident at PBU. Life on campus affords residents the opportunity to live in community with a group of individuals who are actively involved in supporting one another’s progress and maturity.
PBU offers three distinct residential sites, each with its own set of advantages. No matter where you choose to live as a resident student, the University provides each resident with the following furniture: a desk and chair, a twin bed (bunk or captain, depending upon location) and mattress, a chest of drawers, and a closet.
MANOR CAMPUS
The Manor Campus area of PBU’s campus is the closest a student can get to the action and activity of campus life. Located directly between the Biblical Learning Center and the Mason Activity Center, the Manor Campus area can house nearly 200 students and is comprised of five (5) separate dormitory buildings. The residential areas in these buildings are suite-style, including a shared bathroom.
Each building is equipped with a student lounge, complete with laundry equipment, refrigerator, microwave, television with VCR/DVD capability, and living area furniture. Manor Campus is Wi-Fi capable for student internet access.

HERITAGE HALL
Heritage Hall is PBU’s largest residential facility. With the ability to house 265 students, the six (6) halls of this facility are joined by the Great Room that allows for studying, socializing, computing, and numerous other activities. Each hall of the building includes a shared lounge space that is equipped with a television with VCR/DVD capability, microwave, and sink area. Heritage Hall includes a multi-use conference room, a game area, a cardio-fitness room, and a student laundromat.
There are three different room layouts in Heritage Hall. Approximately 25% of the rooms are suite-style with a shared bathroom. The remaining rooms in Heritage Hall, although differing slightly in size and bed style, are double occupancy rooms with private bathrooms. Heritage Hall has wireless Internet access capability.

PENNDEL APARTMENTS
Located less than one mile from PBU’s campus, the Penndel apartment complex has been with PBU since its move from center city Philadelphia to Langhorne. The apartment-style configuration affords the most space and independent living for the students residing in this area. Each apartment includes a kitchen (without cooking capability), a living room, and either one or two bedrooms.
The Penndel apartment complex has two common-use lounges that include fitness areas and limited use kitchen facilities. Students who live in Penndel have the option of subscribing to their choice of Internet Service Providers or simply using the computers that are provided at PBU’s main campus. Residents of Penndel are allowed the use of one microwave oven per apartment, along with possibilities for other utilities like DSL, telephone, cable, etc.
A typical capacity of five (5) residents will be allowed in a two-bedroom unit and three residents in a one-bedroom.
