The Resident Life Team at Philadelphia Biblical University seeks to provide, within each residential facility, a living and learning environment wherein residents feel safe to mature spiritually, academically, culturally, and personally.
Resident Life Staff
The resident life team plays a vital role in making the PBU experience one that is beneficial and enriching to the resident student body. Along with providing assistance for the everyday challenges of academic life, staff members provide a sense of accountability to the community standards of PBU. By serving as role models and mentors, resident life team members help to shape an environment that is conducive to personal growth, academic success, and spiritual maturity.
Resident Directors
Each resident site is supervised by a full-time Resident Director (RD) who serves as a professional member of the Office of Student Life in overseeing the community development, administration, and spiritual formation of the residence area. Available for mentoring and discipleship, critical incident intervention, leadership training, and other resident needs, Resident Directors also provide leadership to the resident life team at their particular site.
Alliance
The Alliance team is a group of students selected to pro-actively build community in each residential living area through personal interaction, relationship building, and campus activities. Members of Alliance place an emphasis on personal contacts and relationships that foster a sense of community and belonging at PBU.
Resident Assistants
Along with Resident Directors, all residential areas of the University are also staffed by fellow student Resident Assistants (RA). The role of RA is filled annually with student leaders who are selected for their leadership ability and maturity. The primary role of each Resident Assistant is availability to the student body and the maintenance of an atmosphere of spiritual growth and academic success.
