PBU's Student Technology Program is purposed to provide YOU, the
student, with a gateway to the information superhighway. Using
your own computer or a new computer purchased through our Laptop
Program, you will be able to access e-mail and other
Internet resources via PBU's high-speed T1 connection. No
more modems, busy signals or slow connections! You can
be on-line all of the time! All on-campus dormitories are equipped with Internet access via wireless access points. In addition, several wireless access points have been implemented around campus to further enhance connectivity for users with wireless capabilities. These areas include the student
lounge, library, select areas of the Biblical
Learning Center, and the Coffee House.
E-mail is used regularly by the University to communicate with
the student body. All students are
required to maintain an active PBU-based email account.
Students may optionally upgrade their technology plan to include network resources and Internet access. Various
options are available to accommodate the needs of different students.
Please keep in mind that traditional modem connections are not
available in the on-campus dormitories. The cost (if
applicable) of the plan you choose will be billed to your student
account. Be sure to check out
the Laptop Program and see how it can benefit
you!!
