Just for Parents
Dear Parents and Families,
We are excited to be a part of this journey and want to welcome you and your student to the PBU family! The next few years will be full of exciting opportunities, but also full of many challenges. We are dedicated to partnering with you in prayer for the success of your student throughout his/her time at Philadelphia Biblical University.
Accommodations for Families
A major part of this transition involves not only the new student, but parents and families as well. During the Weekend of Welcome we have a few scheduled events specifically for you. The residence halls open for students to begin moving in on Thursday, August 20th at 9:00 am. We hope that by the time you leave, your student will have already made the first steps toward a successful transition to the PBU campus and family.
Parents are invited to eat lunch and dinner on Thursday in the Furman Dining Commons. Meals for all guests, including parents, can be paid for with cash upon entry into each meal. We also have in the schedule two events to note:
- At 3:00 pm on Thursday, we have a session for parents entitled Parenting from Afar. This session will be led by PBU faculty member, Mrs. Gail Benchener. Not only has Gail sent her sons off to college, but she is a gifted communicator and seeks to speak to the parents about this important step.
- At 7:00 pm on Thursday, we will be gathering together as a community before parents are asked to depart. Please feel free to join us for this time.

We look forward to meeting you!
