The Pastoral Counseling
Program is designed for both men and women engaged in
Christian counseling in the context of the local church.
Whether counseling as a church volunteer or staff member,
the program provides foundational instruction to equip
in the areas of Christian counseling, discipleship,
spiritual direction or formation. Complete the entire
program of ten courses in two semesters. Attend all
ten courses and receive your certificate in Pastoral
Counseling from Philadelphia Biblical University. Courses
are also available for non-certificate personal enrichment.
No prior college or counseling training is necessary
for enrollment.

LCN005 Building Healthy Relationships - A course which explores four major areas of concern which include connecting, committing, considering, and communicating with God and others. |
February 7

LCN009 Gender Issues in Helping Relationships - Acquaints students with gender specific issues in counseling with regard to the biblical design of created, fallen, and redeemed maleness and femaleness. |
March 14

LCN012 Life Within the Family - Family-Provides an overview of issues, procedures and common models of counseling with particular emphasis on how problems develop and how they are resolved. |
April 4

LCN011 Building Healthy Marriages - Provides an overview of issues, procedures and common models of counseling with particular emphasis on how problems develop in marriage and how they are resolved. |
May 9
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. |
LCN004 Helping Adolescents Through the Developmental Process - Designed to introduce the student to knowledge concerning who an adolescent is, what the needs of an adolescent are, and techniques in how to offer help. |
